I have two comparisons for this thread.. who do you think is better Troy Smith and Ginn or Henne and Manningham? I'm going to say Henne and Mannigham because IMO henne is a better smarter, stay in the pocket quarterback than Smith. I look at Henne as Tom Brady and Smith as Michael Vick. I would say that Mannigham is better than Ginn just because he's stronger. He may not be as quick but he's a better reciever than Ginn IMO. I think Ginn is more so a reciever that's just going to blow past you with his speed. Manningham can muscle you out of the way, etc. He's not just a sprinter.

OSU will have to be 1-dimensional against Michigan because Antonio Pittman will not run free against Michigan's defense like he does with other mediocre teams. That will leave all the pressure on the OSU passing game and Leon Hall will make it tough for Anthony Gonzalez all day long. The corners are faster this year and will play Ginn deep!

First of all..you're comparing Troy Smith to Michael Vick, why? I don't know. Smith does not run like Vick does. He only averages 12 rushing yards per game, has no rushing touchdowns, and only runs when it's his only option. Then you call Henne Tom Brady, I can't comment on that because I know nothing about Henne.
Manningham a better WR than Ginn, I'll give you that simply because Ginn didn't even start off as a WR, he was a DB who was converted because of his speed. Now if you was comparing Manningham and Gonzalez we'd have an even debate because Gonzalez is actually the best WR on Ohio State regardless what the media thinks. As individuals Manningham is a better WR but if you want a combination of WR's Ohio State is much better. Thennnnnnnn you said their offense is one dimensional, have to argue with that too. When your best players are your WR's and QB of course you're going to pass more and yeah at times vs the great teams Pittman doesn't show up vs Texas he had 74 yards, vs Penn State 110, vs Iowa 122. Yeah he doesn't show up, maybe it's just me. I may sound like a homer but Ohio State doesn't have any noticable flaws right now. Last and certainly least...I'll give Michigan their props. I didn't expect them to be doing so good right now, but not having Manningham last week showed how much they relied on him as being a deep threat and spreading out the defense. Don't trip over Iowa looking down the road to the game vs Ohio State. ![]()

I wouldn't go too far. I mean it's pretty reasonable to say that Ohio State's recieving core is better but I wouldn't say MUCH better. Don't get ahead of yourself. Manningham is a better reciever than Ginn, then you have Arrington against Gonzales. Gonzales is faster but with the recievers Arrington has next to him he fits in perfect. He has Manningham as that deap threat as well as Ecker and Breaston so he's the type of reciever that can play big at about a 3rd and 5 position and run that slant route for you because he's not really that fast. So IMO I would say Michigan has the better recieving core because when you start to compare the receivers there is only 2 guys that come in to mind for OSU while on the other hand Michigan has so many other options. Breaston, Manningham, Ecker, Arrington, and don't forget Matthews. Michigan has a lot more weapons than OSU and most of them are better.

I'm a Wolverine fan.
But OSU looks tougher and better. U of M's weakness is Henne. He's not as good as Quinn, Stanton or Smith.

He's not as good you're right... HE'S BETTER. Right now the only person that's probably arguably better than Henne is John David Booty and Smith. How can you say he's not better than Stanton?!?!?!?! Stanton isn't that good of a quarterback at all he runs around like a chicken with his head cut off. Then we saw the performance Quinn had against Michigan. Don't talk to me about Quinn or Stanton being better than Henne because that's just ridiculous. Quinn choked against us and GT and you're saying he's better than Henne?! They were talking about him being the heisman winner, #1 pick all that. After that Michigan game all the analyst jumped off his dick. The top 3 quarterbacks in college football IMO is John David Booty, Smith, and Henne. And I think Henne is the best out of all of them. It's arguable, but I don't see how you even put Quinn let alone STANTON in the same conversation about Henne at all. ![]()
