    Default David Lee or Amare?

david lee averages 16 ppg and 12rpg but i've heard rumors saying that amare will be coming to NY in 2010 because he is good friends with mike.
amare stoudimire averages 21 ppg and 8 rpg.
    who would suit NY better?

amare is just a special player, but he has being playing with a point guard who gives the rock. while david lee hasn't. i reckon they shouldn't trade...lee is an investment too into the future(slighty younger) and they need players with small egos too unlike marbury and all those fellas.

you have made a really good point but i personally think that the knicks lack someone with the playoff experience.

    David Lee
    Al Harrington
    Wilson Chandler
    Nate Robinson
    Chris Duhon
    Quentin Richardson

these are all players who've got no real experience in playing in big games, where as amare has some finals experience. but i can see the knicks becoming a really good team in future with the current young talent they have. i still would like to see a few trades getting an experienced small foward possibly.

i agree with most of that, but i really believe in keeping teams together. they should grow strong together behind david lee or maybe duhon...who is doing wonders without people knowing.

i have no problem with Duhon or Lee. i think they are playing the most consistant for the knicks as well as Nate Robinson.
but with the roster they have i still can't see them making 7th or 8th spot in the east unless getting some leadership and experience.
and might i add Larry Hughes' 39 point game a few games back, was the best i've seen him play in a LONG time.

Amare definitey brings great experience and power but I think D Lee is the right choice here

Amare is with the Knicks dow giving them more exciting basketball and marketability. It's nice to have Amare but he still needs a good PG to feed him the ball. I don't think he is still that good to create his own shots. Amare's better to have than Lee just for the sake of marketability.

David Lee gets more rebounds and Amar'e is more explosive. But face it, neither of them play good defense. Lee's may be a little better, though if I would take David Lee because of Amar'e's injuries. It doesn't matter that Amar'e had Steve Nash to feed him so many good passes, the reason why Steve Nash had such a great couple season with assists is because he has the ability to pass the ball to someone who he know will finish. And with that, Amar'e can go to any team as long as the point guard can get the ball in his hands down low.

So between David Lee and a healthy Amar'e, I'd choose Amar'e anyday.
