I don't think they are, they have a lot of young talent and if Darious Miles can get himself together I think they can be a nice team in that weak division. They have beat two hot teams this week Lakers and Hornets and I'm not sure about their record but it seems Zach Randolph is having great year. I love the talent they have there but the problem is can they keep this kind of play up once things get a little hard, like how will they react after a 3-4 game losing steak. It seems like every year Portland plays great in November but then fall after that.

Right now the blazers are very good. I can say that the two emerging stars for this team are Aldridge and Roy. These young guys will really be on the top just give them a couple of years or so.

I agree Dribble. I think they need a few years to build around them but they will be competitive from now on.

Yes, the Blazers are a good young team. I didn't like the trade concerning Marcus Camby and Steve Blake. the Blazers basically gave up some clutch scorers in the fort quarter for a rebounder and blocker...They are hurting in the middle and all the teams know that. I would've waited until Greg Oden and Chris return next year instead of giving away a young talent for a 35 year old. They may make the playoff with Marcus but they probably will end up in the eight spot... not good if the Lakers are going to finish first in the West. The Blazers play Laker tough in the Rose Garden, but lack confidence in LA.

Alridge need to toughen up and stop shooting jumpers. He has the size to dominate inside but he is unwilling to mix it up down low. If we are going to be contenders , we need a Power Forward that is not scared to fight and exchange words.. something like a Dennis Rodmand or Karl Malone. Roy will be a all-star for years to come. He has all the tools and smarts to carry the Blazers to a title.... but as we all know... you need more than two wheels to keep the wagon rolling.... just look at Micheal Jordan and Scottie Pippin... they needed additional help and each spare part contributed on a daily basics... that is what the Blazers are missing !
