I would take Mike Bibby for many reasons. First off, Baron Davis is the most injury prone player in the league, you can never count on Baron to be healthy for a full season while on the other hand, Mike Bibby is one of the least injury prone players in the league and you can always count on Bibby to give you 82 games per season.
Mike Bibby GP GS 03-04 SAC 82 82 04-05 SAC 80 80 05-06 SAC 82 82 Baron Davis GP GS 03-04 NOH 67 66 04-05 NOH 18 13 04-05 GSW 28 19 04-05 -- 46 32 05-06 GSW 54 48 When you compare the level of play between the two, Bibby is a shooter/slasher and more of a shoot first point guard regardless of his 5 assists per game while Davis is more of a pass first point guard even though he still managed to average around 18 ppg for the Warriors last season. Baron Davis 2005-06 Statistics PPG 17.9 RPG 4.40 APG 8.9 Mike Bibby 2005-06 Statistics PPG 21.1 RPG 2.90 APG 5.4 Personally, in my opinion a pass first point guard is more important in most situations but Mike Bibby plays in an offense where a scoring point guard is a better option because he has played around great passing big men in his career(Vlade Divac,Brad Miller,Chris Webber) which makes Mike Bibby's job to pass and create plays that much easier which allows him to be more of an effective scorer. In this case I would pick Mike Bibby over Baron Davis because Mike Bibby can be counted on 82 games a season and plays in an offense which allows him to be a scoring point guard effectively. Baron Davis cannot be counted on to play an 82 game season which hurts his teams dramastically and has forced the Golden State Warriors a step back in their mission to make the playoffs.

Difficult choice...if I have to pick one in a draft I'll select Baron Davis if he has to be the star of the team and Mike Bibby if has to be the PG on a team with stars...also I think the question must be JWilliams or MBibby

I take Baron Davis. He is alot bigger and stronger than Mike Bibby and Mike Bibby has to be the scorer for his team because if he isn't then nobody else will, but Baron Davis has other scorers like Richardson and Fisher so I would think of him as the second option. Even though the stats aren't with me on this one I think that a healthy Baron Davis would outscore a healthy Mike Bibby.

I'll give this one up to Baron Davis because he's an extremely strong PG who can score at will & also perform well as a team playmaker. He's injury prone, but when healthy, he's one tough PG to stop out on the break or in the low block because he can just drive in the paint at will. His three-point shot's sweet too.

I would say BD. He has what Bibby can do and more. He can score, lock up, he's quick, he's strong, great vision. So it's not like Bibby has things BD doesn't, but BD has things Bibby doesn't.
