I know most of ya'll will probably call me names like homer or something, but I'm sticking with my boy Carmelo Anthony. I love Lebron's game & all, but lets compare some thangs now. Carmelo got Denver (who has always been plagued by the injury bugs) into the playoffs every year since he came into the league while Lebron only got Cleveland in the playoffs once. I still don't believe that Lebron should've gotten Rookie of the Year honors during the 2003-2004 season. He averaged 20.9 ppg, but shot only 41% from the floor % 29% from downtown. Carmelo though averaged 21.0 ppg while shooting 43% from the field & 32% from beyond the arc. Carmelo Anthony or Dwayne Wade should've won that award since they both got into the playoffs during their rookie years respectively. I feel like Melo's also a better defender than Lebron & he's more aggressive than Lebron when it comes to using low-post moves. Lebron hasn't been showing me much of his post game. He's more of a high-flying slasher type of guy. Although Lebron has better leadership qualities than Melo, his leadership's slowing improving & he's not turning over the ball as much as he used to which means that he's getting better at being a floor leader. Carmelo's rebounding average should be better at his position, but I'll always favor Melo over King James anyday.

LBJ easy. IMO, he's the best player in the league. He tries really hard in 3 categories of the game, while Carmelo is only a good scorer, so there's really no comparison.

That would be because they do more than Carmelo does. The avgs. say everything, both LBJ and DWade show some effort in rebounding and assists while Carmelo doesn't do much of any of that.

Carmelo is my favorite out of the two but I have to go with LeBron. But Carmelo is definitely in the top 3 of their class.

I agree. It's lebron. The reason he gets overlooked is because david stern doesn't like selling him.
