John Stockton or Magic Johnson

Both were excellent point guards and this is a very hard decision but I am going to go with John Stockton because he holds the record for assists. Not only could he pass the ball but he could play D too. He holds the record for steals as well.

But its not all about the O. Answer this. Could he get it done on the defensive end as good as Stockton?

It's hard to say. Magic has 5 rings. But I say Stockton, b/c he has the assists and steals records, and he was a midget. His defense was also good.

Stockton was one of Jordan's victims. He is da men who grabbed more assists but Magic is that, Magic.

Ya'll are forgetting that Magic brought in this certain style of play that none of us have seen before. His all-around great demeanor & unselfishness on the court's what made L.A. such a dominant team in the 80s. Besides, what other NBA player do you know has won an NBA championship at the age of 20? He might've not been a better defender than John Stockton, but his ability to play any position out there's what sets him apart from Stockton. Besides, I'm not dissing John's game or anything because he's tough, but most of his All-Time NBA assists came from dishing the rock to Karl "the Mailman" Malone. He was a tenacious defender though with his NBA leading steals & his shot was wet too for a PG, but Magic still gets my vote.
