Magic Sign Bogans To Offer Sheet; Let Stevenson Walk

Orlando Sentinel - A few years ago, the Orlando Magic dealt Keith Bogans in favor of keeping DeShawn Stevenson.

Now, the team is reversing the course by bring back Bogans for what is rumored to be a three-year deal which could be worth as much as half of the Mid-Level Exception.

Stevenson's agent, Rob Pelinka, told the Sentinel recently that Stevenson had at least two contract offers on the table that were better than the Magic's.

RealGM: The Rockets have seven days to match the offer sheet, but since he was a one-year Bird player for Charlotte and he agreed to a trade, Houston did not gain his Bird Rights, so in order for Houston to match in the next 7 days, they will have to use a part of their MLE. [/b]

First I think Bogans is a nice player and could be great with Orlando again. But I got a question about the last part I bolded, since Charlotte didnt trade away Bogan's bird rights if they were to resign him they wouldnt have to use their MLE right because they still have his bird rights?
