Last year, Stern hired a former Bush appointee to help "clean up the NBA."

It wasn't "dirty" in the first place. He's ruining so many things I love about this league.

Why the hate? All he's trying to do is to make a family friendly NBA. Poor Mr. Stern, he is so misunderstood.

This wouldn't have happened if Dwayne Wade wasn't injured in the 04-05 ECF Finals.

I don't understand what David Stern has done that's so wrong. The NBA is a better market now than it's ever been. I want someone to explain to me how Stern is hurting the NBA. If anyon honestly believe the dude is bending rules for certain teams, or pulling for certain teams for publicity, you're fucking ridiculous.

I'm not sure if what Stern has done crosses the technical line of objectivity regarding certain teams. I don't think he's a cheater.

However, I am SURE that Stern is actively and overtly tampering with the culture of the NBA on and off the court, in order to secure more conservative fans that think the league is too "black" in complexion and attitude. He's going after the money when the money should be coming after him. They are offended by Rasheed Wallace's mouth, AI's hair, Dikembe's finger, such and such hanging on the rim... They're scared to death to exit they're gated communities because they're scared of life, but blame their fear on minorities.

The NBA is asserting control of it's plantation and much of America is applauding. While Stern is making the world safe for basketball's dumbest fans again, I'm putting up my middle finger.

I agree, but I would probably also say that its more of what David Stern wants. I mean, how does banning tights make the NBA a family game? Its not like they are exposing themselves. if anything, the cover up more skin. Everything is about what HE wants. Hes a spoiled commisioner that is a firm believer of the star treatment.
