Alright........
Here's the scenario........ I waited too long last season to get tickets to a game(sold out) and this season I want to do it sooner, for a March or April game. My daughter's b-day is in March and mine is in May, so it would be a combo her birthday/my birthday gift thingy. ok.....husband wants to come along. Not a problem, I say. He was going to come last season too, but was part of the reason I waited too long to get tickets(he couldn't make his mind up whether he wanted to go or not). AND....all I've listened to for the last two months has been crap about the cost, the 3.5 hour drive, the cost, the traffic(?), the cost, etc., and how he didn't even really want to go to the game. Fine..........whatever....... This morning I brought up that I was going to look into the tickets today.....for my daughter and I. Well....he FLIPPED out!! He starts in on this, "I can't believe you'd go all the way downstate without me.....it's horrible that you aren't going to get me a ticket..........I can't believe this........" WTF???????? The question I have for all you wise people, is should I chance NOT going to another game because he can't make up his mind...........or should I just get the two tickets for my daughter and I and go without him? I don't wanna piss him off, but he's pissing ME off by screwing around with this. Either way....it will be my fault if things don't go well. It's not like I wanna go by myself or I'm meeting someone there. I'll be with my ten-year old........which means I won't even be having a beer! *gasp* I have to act quick. I have a sick feeling I won't get this resolved in time again. Give me advice, peoples!! |

His prevarication is ultimately part of a strategy to hold to you up, IMO. I've used it before.
Throw a few misleading side arguments into something your woman wants to do, water them occasionally, and watch the shit grow. Don't be distracted. No matter what he says to steer your thinking, you tell him you're going to the game, and if he wants to go, he needs to let you know before you get the tickets. If he doesn't make a decision, or changes his mind, tough titty. If he's mad about it, I'm sure you'll both get over it.

Yeah just buy an extra ticket and a few weeks before the game have your husband decide if he can go and if he can't go sell or give it to a friend or something. Also it depends on what game your trying to go to because when they say all the games are sold out or w/e thats not exactly true, that just means the ticket masters and all that got their tickets so just the tickets that the palace have remaining is sold out. So if you do wait and it says sold out at the palace try a few ticket masters around you that sell Pistons tickets and unless its a really big game I'm sure you can find some tickets. I do that all the time for games that I want to go to thats not in my half season ticket plan.

Reminds me of my other female co-worker complaining about her husband who can't make up his mind.
It's his fault, don't be guilty. Have fun with your daughter. He may be mad but he shouldn't be because it's all his damn fault. Tell him I told him he's a jackass.

Thanks, guys...........
I just tried to order TWO tickets online and it's saying there's no tickets available for the area of seats I want. I don't want the nose-bleed seats because I want my daughter's first game to be somewhat enjoyable for her........meaning I don't want her to have to watch through binoculars. I'm going to try and just call them to see if that's easier. But, like I said before, I think I'm spoiled again. Men are the equivalent of a sliver that you get in your hand............the one that you can feel because it rubs on everything........but yet when you go to get it out, you can't find it and you end up jabbing a needle into the spot where you think it is.........but you still can't get it out.........so you dig some more with the needle, until you have this huge, monsterous chunk of skin taken out of your hand and then you need to see a doctor because it got infected and then you don't have prescription coverage, so you end up selling your own blood to get the medicine....................just because of this god damn sliver! I really, really feel better now.................... ^_^ btw..............I already called him a jackass yesterday, Yugi....but for another reason. I'm afraid that if Yugi stepped in for my husband, only bad things would happen...............if you know what I mean. ;) It's a nice thought, though. |

Can we just make out for hours, in the back seat of my/your car? If it leads to something more, great. If not, I'm ok with that too. We'll fog up the windows and I'll write, "I *heart* Yugi" across the whole back window.
Then, we'll go to some dive bar, play pool/darts/jukebox, get buzzed, get busy in the ladies/mens room, get disgusted by this, move it back to the car and just let friggin' loose. Does this sound ok?????? Let me know................. ![]() |
