..to know that robert and i broke up last night, so i spent most of the night in tears. fucking shit. im working on turning my sadness into anger though.
the last thing i said to him on the phone was "so, i just need to know somethign...the whole we were together, were you fucking other people too?" And he's says "yeah, quite a few" WTF. I felt so worthless, and degraded. Well...time to begin moving on I suppose. Oh the way this all began is that my mom went through my bank accounts today. She found out I bailed him out and that I've been paying for his phone bill. She threatened to never speak to me again unless I took care of it. She also wants to go up to the job and "talk" with Robert. I told her that's not a good idea because if she wants him to pay me back, him getting fired is not a good idea. I then called Robert and told him I'm no longer paying for his phone bill and that he has to start paying me back, chunk by chunk. Then he called me back last night and we broke up.... |

I don't think anyone is HAPPY that you are going through this. It's more of a "necessary evil" that you have to go through to get your life on track. These sort of break-ups suck more because they involve money and anger. Not to be a downer, but don't be surprised if you don't get any money from this guy. He'll probably say it was all paid willingly by you....so why should he pay you back. Not that it's right, but that might be what he'll say.
Your mom speaking to him probably isn't a good idea and it will probably only make things worse. I think everyone should just chill out for a few days(weeks), if possible, and think things over at that point. I'm really sorry that he was screwing around on you, too. We all called him out on it, but I know how it feels to actually hear those words come from the jackass's mouth. It's an old cliche'....but in time you'll know you did the right thing. Start taking care of yourself now and everything else will fall into place. |

Among the maxims on Lord Naoshige's wall there was this one: "Matters of great concern should be treated lightly." Master Ittei replied: "Matters of small concern should be treated seriously."
Excerpt from "The Hagakure" Yamamoto Tsunetomo

I'm happy. I'm sure your mom is happy or relieved. But I know your not.
But it's good to find that out now and dealt with it instead of getting into deeper problems. Remember, always think of the brightside. And I'm sure, before this year ends, you'll meet someone better.
