I don't think you're an overcritical asshole at all. I also like to argue once in awhile..........so bring it on. I STILL don't agree with the whole "we're expected to be stupidly led by our dicks" excuse. Because that's what it is, an EXCUSE. Why can't a woman be lead by her crotch? She can't.....because then she's a slut, plain and simple. Double standards suck ass, imo, and I've dealt with them all of my life. A husband or father stops at the bar after work to "unwind" from a busy day. A wife or mother stops at the bar after work to "get shit-faced and act like a floosy". "She's such a bad mother/wife.......what a disgrace." That's how people think and it sucks. If reincarnation exists...........I really hope I'm blessed with coming back as a man. That way I can act stupid daily, screw anything that walks/moves, and basically be a prick! Sounds good to me............. <_< |

I know it's an excuse, Petite. But it's the best one I could muster. We're not acting stupid. For the most part, us men are hurting for a dose of sudden mentality. God gave us men bodies fashioned to face destruction, so mostly that's what we do - fix things, destroy things, and revel in carnage - sexual or otherwise. Truthfully, it's less romantic than it sounds. There are at least 15 times more homeless men than women, many with drug and alcohol problems. "Bums" and "Deadbeat Dads" are as much a part of our American lexicon as "Sluts" or "Floosies." We just personally don't care, so it doesn't stick. We're feeling good and tearing shit up, regardless. And killing ourselves in the process. We don't care too much about that, either. I look at our stadiums, our prisons, CNN, and I see a male sexual instinct gone atomic and I don't think the same style occurs about the world of women. It's harsh and barren; you sure you wanna join our club? You can do whatever you want, Petite, if you're willing to endure what others say about you (and it's probably other women). Fuck 'em.

When you live in a town with only about 3,500 people in it...and that's stretching it....you almost HAVE to care what people think, if not for me, then for my kids.
I'm speaking of personal experience from when I was younger and didn't have kids yet. Why couldn't I go to the bar after work to unwind without it being a problem? I was there, de-stressing just like everyone else........but it seems like the women were always the ones talked about. I've heard the phrase, "you sure don't know when to go home, do you?" enough times in my life to puke. I'd love to join the Men Are Pricks club!!! But........I think my boobs might get in the way and might be distracting as well. You guys wanna go to a bar and watch the game on the big screen? I'll be there with bells on...... Hell.................I'll even buy the first round. B) |

This is fucking rediculous. I just got off the phone with him because I told him to call me tonight after 9 so we could discuss the money issue. I told him he owed me $2200, not including the bail money, all the money I've spent on gas, and all the money I've spent on food for him.
He's like "What the fuck? There's no way you gave me that much money." I told him I was as fair as I could have possibly been. I included all the Western Union deals, all the phone bills, the UHaul I paid for his family to move, all the withdrawals I made for him at ATMs. He claims I never gave him that much money and that the only stuff his name is tied down to is the Western Unions, the Uhaul and the phone bill, and that he doesnt have to be held accountable for anything else. I told him that's bullshit because I didnt even include the things I gave him on my own accord. Just the things he ASKED for, so everything $100 withdrawal. He then proceeded to tell me that he doesn't ever want to speak to me again, that I should never call him again, and never send him text messages. I asked him why and he says because I'm "fake as fuck". Apparently being "fake as fuck" means that I'm there for a person whenever they needed it, whatever they asked. Fuck this shit. |

Please invest your money, your love, and your energy into yourself, FTF. This dude is an illness and he's already making me sicker than a mug just reading about him.
You can always charge the lost dough to the game and make more money. But these rare lessons I think guy taught you are priceless. Men can turn from Romeo to Rasputin damn quick. It's really not our fault, though. It's hormonal. DyessFan, I'm sorry your community is so down on women. Personally, I'm a feminist. I'd never dog you out for getting shit-faced with us dudes. Really, I'd look forward to the experience.

I sort of thought he'd do this to you.
What he's doing is turning this around, to make YOU look like the one who has the problem. You've done nothing wrong, FTF. I know it's a lot of money, but you're better off just forgetting about it. Just chalk this up to life's lesson's learned, take a deep breath and soldier on. You WILL look back on this someday and say, "God....it was ridiculous of me to be so upset about this jerk. What was I thinking??" Trust me......... _________________________ Don't worry about me, gentile. It was nice to let off some steam for once, nothing personal. We ALL need to get together sometime and get shit-faced. I'd look forward to that experience also............ |

I wish I could just let it go. My mom is pretty damn sure that I need to get all my money back. I just wish I didnt have to have contact at all with him anymore - it would certainly make the getting over him process go by easier. But if he's gonna pay me back, which my mother insists, then I'll be dealing with him for at least the next year.
So much for the days of him saying, "No matter what happens, I'll always be there for you." |

I believe Judge Mathis handles these sorts of issues. Hachi Bah said to tell his wife. I think overall your straightforward strategy is doomed because you're throwing your spear without aiming it.
Sorry to question your mother's judgment. I wouldn't want you getting taken in by unscrupulous gigolos regularly either. But touching a guy with this dude's mentality can be poisonous. And I'm not sure or not whether you've made it clear to her that he probably has at least a few toes in the street at all times. Altough he possesses something of a sense of character, having taken the blame for the tree stash. You've got weapons at your disposal. If you've kept his wife out of it, then perhaps you ought to tell her, if you don't recover payment. If you can bait him into a public argument to set the stage, you could swear out a restraining order. That wouldn't be good for his upcoming arraignment. On some level, he seems to consider himself heroic. He's not proud of being a villain, that's why he cursed you out and hung up so fast. That's a weakness, too, if you can scale the wall of his denial. Transform all of the joy he gave you, all of the tokens you've collected and turn them into ammunition. Cause that's the only way you're getting money back, by sharpening your ruthlessness on his hide better than he did on yours.

Girl, go out and get "Madea Goes to Jail". If you can't get any advice on relationships from that, you can at least learn how shoot a gun.
