I'll be going down south at the beginning of August. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take a trip down to the Gulf Coast. If I find one I'll donate the rum to our store. 75 hoops bucks for a bottle of rum.

I was about fourteen. My brother was twelve. For some reason my mom had a bunch of helium balloons in the house. Likely the balloons were from my A-Team birthday party.

Anyways, I wrote a note on a 3x5 index card it went something like this:

Hello my name is XXXX,

I live in Michigan. I am slightly retarded and smell like sweaty nuts and mothballs. We are studying wind in science class. I get an A if you find this I you find my balloon and write me back.

I included our mailing address. I put the index card in a Ziploc bag and attached the plastic bag to a half dozen plump helium filled A-Team balloons.

I went out on the deck, read the note aloud to the family. Just as my brother started to whine and complain I released the balloon.

Sadly the person who found that balloon could didn?t want to help a retarded kid get ?A? in remedial science and they never wrote back.

What a prick.
