Hornets Sign Second-Round Pick Vinicius

Sports Illustrated - The New Orleans Hornets said Sunday they have signed second round pick Marcus Vinicius.

Vinicius, a 6-8 forward from Brazil, was selected 43rd overall in the 2006 draft. Before entering the draft, Vinicius played four years internationally, most recently with Objectivo Sao Carlos in the Brazilian Paulista League, the third highest division in Brazil.

He averaged 19.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals in 34.7 minutes of play last season
