We all know he was the biggest steal of the 2006 NBA Draft. The question is, will he be able to contribute during his rookie year? It was surprising enough the Knicks didn't take him. Maybe the Knicks see a flaw in him that the Nets dont.

Knicks have enough point guards as it is so now shock they didn't take him but what shocked me was that Philly didn't take him. They needed a pg and it would of been a great lineup with M. Williams/AI/AI/Webber/Dalembert. They took Carney and like espn guys said on draft night he's pretty much the same player as Iggy so what was really the point of that move unless they plan on getting rid of AI any time soon. They also could of had the guy they drafted and shipped of to chicago as a backup swingmen if they needed a SG or SF off the bench so it just makes me wonder why Philly did not take him.
I think M. Williams will do well especially in NJ's system and will no doubt be a steal. Not too much pressure on him because of Kidd being there so he'll have time to develop under one of the great pgs in the game today. Rookie of the year maybe not but solid rookie PG no doubt.

Williams is going to be a star, and if the nets can keep this team together he will be a big benefit in the next few years, but I don't see a championship in the immediate future
