Carter In Doubt For Nets Preseason Opener

New York Daily News - Vince Carter is doubtful for tonight's game at Indiana because of bruised ribs. He's been bothered by the injury throughout training camp, and he tweaked the ribs while extending for a layup during practice yesterday.

Eddie House won't play, either; the new Net guard has a sore left knee. The news on him is good, though: he expects to return to practice tomorrow, provided the swelling has gone down. An MRI on the knee taken Monday was negative.
