Former Iowa Star Released From Jail

AP - Former Iowa basketball star Pierre Pierce was released from jail Sunday after an 11-month stay for assaulting and terrorizing his girlfriend.

He will remain on probation for four years and a month, the Iowa Department of Corrections said.

The 23-year-old player said at a parole board hearing in July that he arranged to live with a coach in Iowa City, where he could finish his degree and pursue a pro basketball career

Why do so many atheletes do stupid things period. Assault their girlfriends, drugs etc. If I was getting paid millions you wouldn't have to worry about me screwing up my contract at all. I would just do my job and go home!!

he had a ticket to the nba if he hadn't f'd it up by doin that...AND iowa probably would've done a lot better last year as well...( i think he woulda played last year?)
