The North Dakota native contacted people who had excelled in their respective fields, music, business, etc. to glean some secrets of their success. Only one responded: Coach John Wooden. At the time, Brown and Wooden were passing acquaintances, they've since become close friends, but the legendary UCLA coach was more than happy to help the aspiring youngster.
