There were talks about expanding the tourny, possibly doubling it to get more teams in and stop others from complaining.

I think it's a bad idea for the most part. Why mess with the greatest thing in all of sports and risk screwing it up? It's great for everybody the way it is.

6-7 teams I could live though I wouldn't support it. Doubling the field makes the entire regular season pretty much pointless however.

wtf??? thats the stupidest idea ever. like you said, no need to mess with the greatest thing in all of sports. 130 teams would make the tournament!!?!? crazy.

CBS would just have constant whip-around coverage. That's what they do during the 1st round anyways.

I would like to see the NIT play earlier (although it would be tough to do) and have the winner of that be the last one in the NCAA tournament. That would eliminate all guesswork as to who should of made it.

By then, they're dead. Not fair. Maybe they should expand it to 80 teams, and the top 64 teams have byes in the 1st round.

I would think they could wrap up all conference tournaments a week early and start all teams not going to make it the weekend before and have it narrowed down be the following Thursday's play. I hate to think any team is missed in this tournament as there were a lot of teams in this year that really looked good and should be back next year.

I dont know if I would like that or not. It would be fun to have more teams but it seems like it could take a little longer.

NCAA tourney. It ain't broke. Don't fix it. I like the current situation where the NIT provides a second chance. Also, the College Basketball Invitational was added this year and provides a 3rd national tournament.
