Well Grizzlies are about to be ruined

There's something creepy about the Dukie hostile takeover in Memphis. Laettner and his buddy Davis, former teammates at Duke, shell out $40 million each and now own 70 percent of the Grizzlies. Davis announces that Laettner plans to play this season, which comes as a shock to coach Mike Fratello. Laettner hasn't played since 2005 and hasn't been really any good since 2000. Davis says he has no intention of forcing president Jerry West out, but adds that he, Davis, will be running the day to day operations of the team. Sounds like West has a choice -- stay on and collect his $7 million annually for doing nothing but rubber-stamping Davis's decisions, or leave. West, a proud man and one of the best team builders in NBA history, isn't likely to stick around. Watch, in a couple of years, Jay Bilas will probably take over as general manager. Mike Krzyzewski will end up as the coach. Grant Hill will finish his career there. It will like a little Duke annex. Sickening. [/b]

I saw this in a article and it just really kills me how these two guys are just going to come in and ruin this team. Thats a shame how Leattner is about to force his way on that roster and how this Davis guy is just gonna come in and take over West's job pretty much. I feel so bad for the Grizzlies and their fans, this franchise is about to take a big leap in the wrong direction.
