Kobe, in my personal opinion, won't be able to keep getting more than 30 PPG. Smush Parker is getting better, and Kobe has to understand he isn't the only player on the Lakers that can do something with a basketball. They have Llamar Odom and Smush. Both can play some good basketball. I hope that he can start passing to them. Smush is a really fun player to watch when he gets the ball.

In my personal opinion, I predict that Kobe will average somewhere between 28-32 ppg. He really wants to change his whole "All about me" gamestyle unlike some people (cough..AI..cough), so he'll probably decrease his scoring average by a few points. He's still the best NBA player & he'll definitely have the ball in his hands the majority of the time, but guys like Lamar Odom & new acquisition Vladimir Radmonovic will definitely step it up in the offensive end. I'm a lil iffy on Smush Parker. He had a breakout year last season, but the question's will he still play at that high level? He's a good 3-point shooter & he's one of a few PGs in the league with athleticism to dunk, but I don't know if he can be the man you'd want to control the floor. Kwame Brown looks like he wants to step his game up any minute, but he still needs to improve on his defense & develop an OK midrange shot. I see him being more aggressive on the boards & he's not trying to be all placid & shy anymore when it comes to playing a physical game, so that's something he's really improving on. He also needs to hit the weight room so he can beef up his arms more.

Kobe finally got what he's always wanted: The lone, Starring role of the Lakers. I am a long time Lakers fan, lived in LA for 6 years, went to Staples Center, the whole bit. He acts as he is: a spoiled child. Is he good? Yes. Are there others better? Yes.
The thing with Kobe is you see how good he is, and you realize that had he matured as a player and a person, he truly would be unstoppable. |
