Jesus christ. One can only guess its Mike Dunleavy declining as a coach combined with Sam being older. Makes me wonder if Sam goes, you'll be what Minny is now. The 2 teams seem comparable now. They go on a run in which they finally win a series then lose (minny to wcf in 04 and clippers to semis), and then lose out on the playoffs 2 more yrs in a row. Brand will be in KG's spot soon it looks. Clippers look to be a total 1 hit wonder. Its a shame too because now the lakers are way ahead. I did not plan to see the lakers ahead of the clippers this year. Despite Shaun Livingstons good play to make up for Cassells declining numbers, this has to be Dunleavys fault. Dunleavy always declines when hes somewhere too long. Now he wants to trade for his son. Wow is your team in such big future trouble. Does anyone agree?

I've been wondering myself why they are so horrible.. I saw their record last night and was shocked. I don't know what their problem is, but because of Sam's age I wonder if they could get anything for him.

I'm a celtics fan so my team was the one they just had a significant win over WITHOUT PAUL PIERCE! If thats the only team they can blow out, they kinda got sad. Their records almost as bad as the celtics anyhow. I would hate to see the lakers finish ahead though. Maybe its cursed for the lakers though. perhaps, the clips can turn it around and the lakers can go on a losing streak. Miami was a start anyhow.

The poor Clippers. They are the red-headed step children in LA. They get no respect from most of the city, the only time they come close to filling the Staples Center is when they are playing the Lakers (and the tickets are cheaper when the Clippers are the 'home' team, btw), and they lost Odom to the Lakers. They should move to Anaheim where they could get some respect. I seriously think they'd do better down at the Pond. It's all about attitude and having a supporting crowd.

i've watched the clippers this season and it seems they're folding under high expectations. their swagger is no longer there, and they definitely miss veteran leadership. look at the spurs, faltering even though there aren't any significant injuries.
but sam has just returned, they got mobley back, maggette is almost 100%. they won 2 of 3 since they all returned . i hope that's a sign of things to come. |
