DTP: First on the behalf of the San Antonio Spurs Organization we would like to congratulate the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Sun on making it to the NBA Finals. We got a little banged up at the end but we’re not making excuses or anything like that, we just have to comeback better next season and learn from this. These men played their asses off for 82 games and I’m just proud of each and every one of them. We have some weaknesses that we have to address and will hopefully address in the off-season and hopefully we can comeback stronger. With that being said we’ll open up for questions.

Reporter: The draft is coming up very soon, is there any possibility of trading up or trading down or if not can you give us a little hint on what you’re looking for in the draft?

DTP: Well anything is possible between today and Tuesday so depends on what offers I can get I don’t know if we will trade down and I really don’t see us trading up at the moment but we’ll see. And there’s a lot of talent in this year’s draft so hopefully we can come out with a young player that can be helpful to our franchise rather it’s in the future or next year. It may be a big man or it might be a guard, it just all depends on how things go.

Reporter: I know anything is possible pretty much but any real possibilities of any big trades going down from San Antonio before next season starts?

DTP: Well, I’m always looking to make this team better so if any moves come up that I can improve my team on I’m going to take it. But that’s only if I can make the move without moving any of my core guys, I feel we have the potential to be something special with these guys and I’m going to keep them around and give them that opportunity. So no you won’t see Parker, Artest, Shaq, or Duncan moved if that was where you were going with that question.

Reporter: It looks like Rose, Stackhouse, Jones, and Desmond Mason will all be free agents this summer, any chance that one of these guys may end up in a Spurs uniform?

DTP: Well, since they’re not Free Agents yet I’m not free to talk about it but I will try to get anyone that I feel can come in and help this team out. Could any of those guys come in and help this team, definitely.

Reporter: With Lue being signed to an extension what does that mean for Diener’s future?

DTP: Well Diener is a good kid and he will have to come in and work and earn his minutes. We still feel like he will be a great backup guard for us in the future but he has to be ready before we just throw him out there. We’ll see how he improves over the summer and during preseason and go from there.

Reporter: You talked earlier about your core 4 guys but left out current starter Flip Murray, not trying to stir up anything but can you just talk about his future with this team?

DTP: Flip did a great job with us this season, did everything he was asked to do and we appreciate that but at the same time we know with his size that may be a problem in a future that we may look to address. Flip has another year left on his contract and as of right now I’m not shopping him so we’ll see what happens, but most likely I would like to have flip coming off the bench next season.

Reporter: If you were to bring in another guard and bring Murray off the bench where does that leave Charlie Bell whose contract is up?

DTP: Well, we will still look to resign Bell, was great for us last season. We just need to see more consistency from him but like I said he did great for us and we will look to extend his contract. We will do what’s best for our organization and he will do what’s best for him and his family.

Reporter: Alonzo Mourning is a guy that will be a free agent this upcoming summer, ZO, Duncan, and Shaq would be a great combo right?

DTP: lol, like I said I can’t really go into detail with any of that because ZO is still under contract as of today but that may be a possibility.

Reporter: What’s the mood of the team right now after coming off a series where they felt that maybe they could have won if not for a few injuries?

DTP: As usual, some guys are a little down but like I said these guys will only get better from this and hopefully come out better from this. When you’re so close to going to the NBA Finals and you lose a few key players then yeah you know you’re always wondering what could have happened and I think that’s all these guys wanted was that opportunity.

DTP: Anymore questions?
