Default Kings Make Deadline Deals, Shake Things Up

Sacramento, California (AP) -- With the trade deadline approaching yesterday and the Kings struggling they decided to shake things up and start looking towards the future of this ball club. Now, looking to the future you'd think they would keep one of their young guys who has been playing great off the bench in Quincy Douby. The Kings decided to trade Douby, along with Tim Thomas, Johan Petro, Kelvin Cato and a 2nd round pick to the L.A. Lakers for Kwame Brown, Sasha Vujajic, and a 2009 first round pick.

Kwame's "future" with the Kings didn't last long as he was part of yet another trade, this time with the Boston Celtics. In this deal the Kings dealt Mehmet Okur, Kwame Brown, C.J. Miles, and two second round picks for Rajon Rondo, Anderson Varejao, Chris Kaman, Joel Pryzbilla, and the 76ers 2009 First Round Pick. The Kings later on brought Chris Kaman out of his contract.

Sacramento recieved good young talent, now it's time to see what they do in the off-season with this team. Rondo, who is figured to be the teams future point guard is rumored to be getting the start over Mike Bibby and the Kings upcoming games. Only being 2 games out of the 8th spot it's a risky move.

NBA Deadline Deals:
There weren't many deadline deals as many people thought would go down. The main one was a block-buster deal that may have left many Raptors fans scratching their heads. The Raptors sent Chris Bosh, Andre Igudola, Joey Graham, Kris Humphries, Randoslav Nesterovic to the Magic in exchange for Jermaine O'Neal, Tayshaun Prince and the Clippers 2009 First Round Pick. Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible deal but it's somewhat questionable.
