Rockets Ready to Launch
by Buzz Lightyear Houston, Texas. Juwan Howard, Shane Battier, Yao Ming, Bonzi Wells, and Tracy McGrady. All gone. The Rockets started the season as a favorite in the West, and stayed that way until the end of the season, even with big changes. Some of the new pieces we saw were Udonis Haslem, Vince Carter, and Hilario Nene. At the end of the season, all those pieces were gone too, even Nene for a moment, before his resign. Where is the Rockets planning to take off to? "Our team was a winning organization with the best defense in the league last year, but we want to win and stay winners. First, we'll have to lose some." Mr. Grasshoppa, GM of the Rockets, said during a teleconference. "However, we will not allow ourselves to become a lottery team. It'll be rough at first, but we brought in young and dedicated guys who breath in the game of basketball." "The start to any new team will always be shakey. I trust the guys will eventually bond and our coach will find a working system. I have complete faith in Grasshoppa to bring our organization to a level higher than what it was." Mr. Sensei, the owner of the Rockets said. All of last season, the Rockets struggled with various injuries which haunted them in the play-offs. The move of McGrady and Carter was an action to address that problem. Their depth are not at the level as it should be this year, but will develop into an effective bench. What's interesting about Houston's move and signings is they have the luxury of experimenting with the players. They have a nice balance of veterans and young prospects and will be able to cater to those that do well. If no one does well, in three seasons, most of their guys will be off the books. The free agent market become theirs if none of the eight first round picks in the next four years do not work out. Insane? Indeed. For one thing, even if the Rockets becomes a losing Franchise, their fans will have many years of hope to hang on to. Their GM promises a play-off seed, so we'll just have to see.

Nice read man. I still don't know about getting rid of VC and T-mac, I mean your team was set for a few years but hey it's your team and I trust that you have some type of plan.
