NEW YORK -- Today we our a proud to introduce the newest addition to our Knicks family Adam Morrison. Adam is a guy with a lot of intensity and abbilty. He was the best overal scorer in the draft and we are very happy to add him to our team.

Adam Morrison: I just want to thank the Knicks organization for giving me a great chance to play great basketball in probably the best basketball city in the world. I will always give my best effort on the court and hopefully try to improve the club. This team is clearly on the rise but I know its going to take some time I am just glad that I am apart of the solution.

We would not like to open up a question and answer sesion where you can adresss both Adam Morrison and the General Manager. First Question....

TO GM: Going into the draft were you pretty sold on taking Morrison at 2.

BELL: We were very high on Adam but I don't know if we were sold completely because there was a lot of interest in the pick but at the end of the day we feel we made the right choice by holding onto the pick and drafting Adam.

TO ADAM: Do you think you can be a starter on this team right away?

ADAM: I feel I can start right now, but if they want me to come off the bench I can do that to.

TO GM: What postion will Adam play?

BELL: Well he can play 2 and 3 but we would like to play him at the 2 just because his abbilty to play smaller players and won't have trouble getting his shots up.

TO ADAM: Did you know the Knicks were going to take you?

ADAM: I honestly did not know but I had a good feeling thought, Portland had a lot of interest to so it was pretty interesting.

TO GM: Will Morrison start for the Knicks next season?

BELL: I think so we want to have hs scoring early in ball games. He is still going to have to earn it though but this kid is hard working we should not have a problem there.

TO ADAM: What do you think about the city of New York?

ADAM: Well it is just a great city with a rich history of sports lots of things to do. I am very excited.

I think Earl is what sold NY on Morrison, if it wasn't for that trade maybe NY selects Felton instead of Morrison.

Yea thats correct. Sorry Seattle that we could not get a second deal done. The free agent market is weaker then I thought so I am going to go young for another season and have roughly 27m to fill in the missing pieces next offseason.
