Ron Artest

What are your thoughts about ron artest joining? I personally do not like artest but i think it will help the rockets. A healthy t-mac, healthy yao, and a behaved artest is a deadly combination. The only problem is that they are in the west. I dont think they can get home court advantage for the playoffs

if T-Mac and Artest shares the ball (not to mention that chinese giant- i forgot his name), they will win a couple of playoff games for sure!

i think he will be a great addition.

he is a solid player and if tmac can work with him itll turn into a kobe-odom sorta relationship.

i cant see negatives coming from the acquisition.

I belive Ron can be a real nice piece for this team. He gives you 20+pts evry night who can stop many players at will in defence. I mean Shane is great defender by all mean but he can be really productive at offencive end as Ron does. One thing that holds him back is his acts on and off the court but recently he is been acting right and in Sacramento he really did not hav chance to show his niches. Now with T-mac and Yao Rockets will be formidable right away.

Ron ron will bring the toughness to this team that many other teams don't have. The only problem with the rockets is health, and with 3 stars on this squad they have a good shot at being healthy when playoff time comes. Also artest played under adelman in sac town, he also is willing to sacrifice for the team which could reflect he is on a contract year, but right now on paper this is the team to beat because of the depth they have at every single position.

infairness Ron Artest is a good ball player exclusive his attitude. but if he wil stay out of trouble this season. i Think rockets is a title contender and T-Mac will finally surpass the 1rst round of the playoffs lol

The original plan for bringing in Artest was to have him as 6th man...i dont know if i agree with that, but it worked pretty well last night against Denver.

I think he'd work better coming off the bench then Shane Battier, and you want to be giving both them guys game-time. So maybe he'll stay a 6th man, he'll still see 34+ minutes a night.

I don't think Artest like the thought of him coming from the bench. Don't know what he'll do, but if it works, maybe Rockets will go to the 2nd round of playoffs? <lol> If they stay healthy...

Artest is a defensive type of player that can bang bodies to others.
He can also do things good in defense with him and yao i think a 3rd round on the playoff...

Houston did a good thing getting Ron Artest. he may be an arrogant player but he brings defence to the team and he can alost get 20 points a game if he wanted to.

He is a Ring Chaser. Also has been, so It is no surprise. Anyways Houston doesn't want a Ticking Bomb, It is too dangerous.
