I created this tut when I wanted to do a "grunge" "trendwhore" background for a spurs sig
but every tut was too complicated to understand so I did a easy "noob" version of it
myself.

This tut is for originally for psp but Im sure if you translate some of the stuff you can do it in photoshop.

First you need a main image I took the spurs logo:

Then create a new image the size of your choice mine was 400 by 160.
paste the spurs logo as a new layer.

Then get some photos with high detail like pictures of nature or any pic with many colors like this:




Then cut and paste your "detail" pics on top of your main image then click on the layer you just put on
and make the opacity 60.Take your other image and paste it on top of the image you just put on and
make the opacity 60.
Now make a new raster layer and make the opacity 40 and choose flood fill and make the color
red now use it to make the main image a good looking color that looks like this:


Now just add some pics and text and wala:
