Former Camden High School basketball star Dajuan Wagner has agreed to a two-year contract with the NBA's Golden State Warriors.
Wagner's agent, Cherry Hill attorney Leon Rose, said Wagner would sign with the Warriors and report to their training camp in early October. Wagner, the state's all-time leading scorer in boys' basketball with more than 3,400 career points, sat out of basketball last season with health issues. Wagner underwent surgery for colitis in November. Wagner was a four-time All-South Jersey player at Camden, graduating in 2001. He played one season at the University of Memphis. Wagner was the No. 6 overall pick in the NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2002. He played three seasons for the Cavaliers but his playing time was limited by a series of injuries and by illness. |
