Under rated is Kevin martin because he is overshadowed by all the good guards in the western conference.
Over rated would be Shaq because I think he is not that very good now that he is aging.

Underrated--Chris Paul. That is not gonna last long though if they make noise in the Playoffs.
Overrated--Tracy McGrady, and I don't think it's even close. How about winning a single playoff series one of these years. Freddy

Tim Duncan, post Jordan, is NOT even a basketball player in my book. He took that dance, the art, NOT flash or fanciness, and completely disregarded it. I could care less of what kind of numbers or accolades, he is first and foremost NOT a ball player. He's simply a swimmer gone NUTS. So why does he succeed? Because, basketball is stuck in a era that should have been in the garbage or separated from the game, the era that Jordan rebirthed. So, Duncan is perfect for ballin' w/ Kareem or Russell, but that is apart from and a disgrace to the game Jordan brought.
Tracy McGrady, all this talk about Kobe, Lebron, whatever, when TMac is probably the GREATEST SCORER EVER! Not the greatest player, that is w/out a doubt, absolutely MJ, but he may be the only player that can score anyway, anyhow, at his will. Kobe is messy. Lebron is stiff. What ya'll think? Holler back. This is the Bishop, Bishop of Basketball reborn. Peace. |

I think the most overrated player is Shaq. I just dont see him as everyone makes him out to be he is just huge. And the most underrated player is Teshawn Prince. He can score, rebound, and play D. He quietly ALWAYS gets the job done.

In my opinion the most overated player is Carmelo Anthony. He doesn't rebound or play D and look at the talent around him and he still hasn't made it out of the first round. Most underated has got to be Elton Brand a 20/10 player that has never made an allstar team?

Most Underrated player- Michael Redd
If it weren't for him playing in Milwaukee that gets know national airplay, he would be recognized as one of the best shooters in the game. If he can play injury free ball, get his team in the playoffs, maybe just maybe he can get some love. Most Overrated player-Dirk Nowitzki I preface this by saying that I am a MFFL, but Dirk disappoints me like you wouldn't believe. In 2006 when they were in the Finals against the Heat I desperately wanted him to step in and be the man, then against Golden State in 2007, and then this year versus New Orleans. He puts up the offensive numbers consistently, but his lack of any defensive commitment leaves his teammates questioning his leadership. It is never too late to change this though. |
