I would like to see somthing done about biased or unfair officiating in the NBA. I know that the Refs are human and are prone to make mistakes, like we all are. But I think that every year there are more and more bad calls in the NBA that are absolutely inacurate, and I dont see David Stern doing very much about it.
I hear about certain players getting the the STAR treatment, That means players like Kobe, Shaq, Dirk, Duncan, KG, Nash, Wade etc. will get favorable calls. Now if the STAR treatment truly exist's (and I think it does) then that is an admitance of biased officiating. What I would like to see in every NBA game, is that every Coach would have one challenge per half, just like the NFL has in place, that way a Coach could question what he may perceive to be a PHANTOM call. With so many conspiracy theorys out there every year, and issues of integrity keep arising in the NBA, Stern would be wise to adopt a new officiating system, where by all teams in the NBA could fill is fair and accurate. :o :P |

Well what you say could be true, But when Bennet Salvador (in the 5th game of the finals) is making a call when he is way out on the other side of the court and he says that Dirk fouled Wade, and when the replay is clearly showing something defferent, that is a BAD call. Judgement call or not, somthing needs to be fixed. B) |

I agree. These refs are so obvious that these calls are not mistakes. I wouldn't be suprised if they're getting a little extra $ on the side.

I agree with the challenge. It's a great idea. The refs shouldn't be deciding the game, it should be the players' game play.

I think if the refs make any more STUPID or GORMLESS calls in critical playoff games (where as everyone could see that they got it wrong) there will be more of an outcry for replay in the NBA. <_< |
