There really aren't many 'bad teams' left. Teams like the Bobcats, Hawks and Portland have all made major moves.
This is the basic list. Portland Charlotte Atlanta Golden State Toronto New York I think New York will improve this season, they have too much talent not to. Throw out what happened last year, they have a head coach that will set a rotation down. I just think the Knicks will be a solid .500 team and make the 6th seed or so in a weak division. Who do you think will be the worst team this year? |

I think the Blazers and Twolves will do better than everyone think. My list of the worst teams this year
Sonics Knicks Hawks Bobcats Raptors Jazz Sonics just suck IMO and they're not even trying to win now. They got some isssues with the arena and all that and I don't expect them to be competitive at all this year. Knicks are just a bunch of stars put together with no role players. They found out the hard way that you can't just win by throwing a whole bunch of talent together, you have to build a team with role players and everyone filling their roles. If they could trade some guys like Rose, Francis, Marbury, James, and Malik Rose and get back some young talent and rebuild they might be ok in the future with some young guys like Robinson, Crawford, Richardson, Frye, and Curry to build around. Hawks are very young and will go out and give it all that have every single night but still won't win much. I think they did go our and get some nice veterans like Claxton and Wright this season and that will help alot so about 25 wins for them but still not very good. Bobcats are just too young and like the Hawks will come and compete every night and give some teams scares but in the end their unmaturity will show and they won't be able to close out games. Everyone thinks the raptors have improved so much this year and yeah they might get off to a fast start like a few years ago but in the end will end up with another Toronto Raptors kind of season. I think they will move Peterson this year and get back a pick or some young talent and that might help them but I can't see this team winning more tham 30 games if that. Jazz were good last year almost made the playoffs but this season I don't know why I just think they'll choke.

I actually think the Hornets will be. I think they'll take a nose-dive this season. They made alot of offseason moves to bring more guys in, but it just looks like a giant clusterfuck.
- The only guy I really like on that team besides Paul, is David West. The NBA knows who David West is now though, so lets see if he drops 17 a game again. - They brought Peja in, who is a good 2nd or 3rd scoring option on the right offense at best. They're going to try and force him the ball and it isn't going to work. He can't do anything but shoot, and his contract kills your salary cap, and he's just not what a young team like this needed. - Tyson Chandler is just to inconsistent and not strong at all. They bring him in and it looks like he's going to be their starting center. It looks like Desmond Mason is going to start for them at shooting guard too. So now you have a starting center and a starting shooting guard with some major flaws in their game. - When Mason isn't getting the job done, which will probably be often, they'll be bringing Bobby Jackson in to stretch the offense and save the day. When you do that, you then hvave the smallest backcourt in the league not to mention they're going to run Jackson into the ground by March. I really think the Hornets blew it in the offseason. Their lockerroom is just all over the place and it will be interesting to see if they can come up with a rotation that meshes. Maybe a young guy like a Hilton Armstrong or a Cedric Simmons can make a big impact.

The Hawks - No true point guard or center. An absolute logjam at the 2/3 spot. Worst team in the NBA The Blazers - A lot of offseason moves leave them improved over last year, which leave them plenty of room to be horrible. Bobcats - Felton, Okafor and May could have this team over .500, though I doubt it. Golden State - Baron Davis WILL get hurt, it's just where and when. Richardson will shine, in obscurity again. Foyle's contract will be a continued weight around their collective necks. Add that to a never ending ability to self destruct and you have a lotto team again. |

Claxton isn't a true point guard? Lue isn't a true point guard?

Portland Trailblazers because their only good offseason move was picking up Jamal Magloire from the Milwaukee Bucks who'll give them some offensive & defensive punch at C finally, but they're still gonna suck. Everyone on that team (especially Zach Randolph & Darius Miles) come out as one-men shows & obviously they aren't going to win a lot of ballgames. It'll be interesting to see how Brandon Roy holds out, but I still don't think that even a guy like him will pull the Jailblazers out from the shameful level they've been at since giving up guys like Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudamire, & Bonzi Wells. Darius Miles really has to leave because he's just not good at all. All he does is dunk & everyone used to hype him up as being the mini version of KG, but he has no shot at all & if he couldn't block a shot or two once in a while, his defense would be mediocre too. Zach Randolph's only good at grabbing rebounds & scoring from the low-post, but other than that, he's worthless at every other aspect of the game. He obviously doesn't have that leadership quality the Blazers have been wanting out of him (even if he's the best player on the team), his defensive game's matador D a la Jason Williams & there are some nights that he'll just be lazy & not be an X-factor at all. They blew it by giving up Steve Blake. He was the only guy who came out every night to play the game the right way. If Nate McMillan doesn't give up guys like Miles & Randolph & get a quality PG & PF in return, they'll be in more trouble.
