why dont they buy a few teams and give all the good players to one team?

I see what your saying but then there would be no point in watching anymore because part of the reason most people watch is because of the matchups with the best players in the league. But if all the best players are on one team then where is the competition in that.

Not to mention, in basketball, a collection of all-stars cannot co-exist, b/c on their teams, the offense runs thru them.

That would not be big money. I would not pay to watch LeBron and Wade together. I would pay to watch them go at it. LeBron and Wade can not co-exist either, b/c the offense on their teams runs thru them, they want the final shot, etc. Eventually egos will clash. Baseball it's okay, b/c you don't have that "sharing" aspect that basketball has.
