Should Coach K have picked some different players instead of picking the players with the most chemistry because sometimes players get mad at each other and you need talent.

No. The super-star studded team is worse than a true team, b/c all the super-stars have ego problems, all of them want to be "the man", which is what you saw in Athens and during the 2002 World Games. During the Jordan era the super-star studded team was okay, b/c you didn't have these ego problems.
