The Star - The USA finalized their 15-man roster on Tuesday, which includes LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Shane Battier, Bruce Bowen, Elton Brand, Dwight Howard, Antawn Jamison, Joe Johnson, Brad Miller, Gilbert Arenas, Amare Stoudemire, Kirk Hinrich, Chris Bosh and Chris Paul.
Coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff must trim the roster to 12 players before the world championships. Shawn Marion, Adam Morrison and Luke Ridnour were cut in this round. The team will play five warmup games in Las Vegas, China and Korea before opening the world championships in Japan on Aug. 19. |

I just want the U.S. to be represented with our BEST players. That's why we lost the last olympics because the BEST players from the U.S. weren't playing. Me personally I think if this team had all mediocre players with the acception of shaq then they could win just because of what shaq does to matchup and things. I mean really if a nba player can't stop shaq what makes you think an argentine can??!!!

CP3 D-Wade Shane Battier Elton Brand Dwight Howard BTW, how about Chauncey? I had heard that he was gonna skip everything to be with his wife. That was planned before the cuts and all, does that mean he'll still be there or is he cut? How about the other guys that didn't end up makin it to the camp? Kobe, Micheal Redd, J.J. Redick, and who ever. Are they cut as well, or are they still on the team? |

Well, I'm really curious about Chauncey's position. Even during the reg. season, I heard he'd be skipping the World Championships to be with his wife. I don't think he's been cut. Lamar Odom, J.J. Redick and Michael Redd and Kobe were told they can skip the training camp for personal reasons, so I don't thik they're cut either.
