This, I feel, is a topic that is very debateable. Carmelo is only 1 year older than LeBron, and still has alot of time to develop. Dwayne Wade is already developed, and will probably not get more than 4 more PPG. Dwayne Wade has had a better past 2 years, but a worse rookie year. Melo has shown dramatic imporvement since 04-05 in all catergories. Wade has also shown improvement, but not as much. Wade is winning in assists, but if you pass to Shaq, hes gonna score. Melo does not have alot of star offense on his team, besides himself. Vote and discuss your argument.

Why does everyone think that Wade is damn near god? Look at his team compared to Melo? Switch it around and all the talk would be about Melo! Not to take anything away from Wade he is a very good player with a lot of talent around him!

I agree. Then melo isn't really in a position where he is able to get calls either. I remember in the playoffs the officiating was just awful towards denver.

Well to be honest, I think Melo DOES have a shot to be a better player then Wade. like you said, he still has the potential to improve his game even further. He needs to improve his D, and earn some respect from the officials as Wade has done. Once Shaq leaves Miami, or starts his Dikembe decline, the difference won't be as much, that's for sure.
If he's going to get 20+ FT's a night though...the Miami Heat are never going to lose again.

If you give it some thought it really isn't the fact that wade has respect from the officials either. <_< The thing is you have to think about all the people the wade has around him.
Pat riley, riley is a hall of famer so he is going to be respected by anybody on the court. Then you have shaq who is a veteran and has earned his stripes. You have guys like payton (hall of famer), and mourning. So I think if melo was to be put on a different roster with young development teams, etc then he would be fighting for calls as well.
