You got Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Greg Popovich, and Larry Brown as the main vets who have won a title..or lots of them...one of them being unemploed .

You have new up and comers of D'Antoni, Skiles, Mike Brown and Avery Johnson.

Then you have other possible candidates such as Rick Carlisle and George Karl.

I may have forgot a name, but anything past those guys and you get into junk for the most part.

Whom do you think is the best coach in the league? It's kind of a tough question that could go many ways.

I know if I was building a team..I'd take Avery Johnson as my coach to build a team with.

I would have to say Phil Jackson. Most Rings of active coaches, and notice how the kobe lakers make the playoffs when phil is coaching

Phil Jackson has to be there. He's got 11 rings (2 as a player, 9 as a coach), and he got the Lakers to the playoffs with a very bad team.

Scott Skiles is also another good coach, and he's the man to get us over the top and run the next dynasty.

HAHAHAHA a lil violent from what ive seen on this board!

I cant think of a coach that really makes a SIGNIFICANT difference in the game. Im not a big "coach" guy.

Combs did you listen to Stoney and Wojo yesterday? Cause they had the same question/discussion only in the past 25 years.

Greg Popovich. He's also the most underrated. Probably the most consistent of all coaches.
