O'neil practiced for the first time in two months, will his return push the Heat into playoff contention?

It might possibly. We will have to see how well he plays and how the team shows as well.

I find it highly unprobable. Apologies to all those Shaq fans. But i think that Shaq is too old and will only start to burden Heat. They need some fresh blood

If the team perceives Shaq as a leader and he can help inspire the team, I think he'll help the team, but I don't think just his playing will help.

I disagree, I think he's recovered enough to play and if the season were to end right now the Heat are only one game out of the playoffs, I think Shaq is definitely going to give them the lift they need.

Maybe, but don't you think that he is getting too old? They need somebody with more vitality and endurance

Yup, he's old. But he can still make a difference on the court. Still hard to defend the guy and this frees up their perimeter guys.

Shaq bangin' bodies on the inside and throwing his weight around, pulling down rebounds at both ends of the court would help any team

There's another thread going on question wether or not Shaq was still a top fifteen player, I think over the course of the rest of this season he's going to prove that he is

Shaq may be getting older, but that's what happens to the big guys. And all you do is stick them at the other end of the court on either offense or defense and get the ball to them. If he's hungry enough, he'll take them back to the playoffs. It just going to be all about his attitude. Last year he needed to prove something to Kobe, LA and the NBA. Not so much this year.

I agree with you that Wade is really on fire right now and the reason for Miami's good form, but Shaq will only help things and lighten the load on Wade's shoulders.

Wade is certainly a huge part of Miami's success, but the big man is going to be the difference in a play off run or an early end to the season
