Hey Everyone...

We've pulled all admin & moderator priveledges as we try to restructure the entire site. The two admin's have respectully left the forum and although we're sad to see them go we thank them for all they've done and wish both of them the best of luck. No hard feelings on this end we hope their are none on their ends... I realize pulling the mod/admin privs is a pretty big deal and I appoligise to those that had nothing to do with this but we felt it necessary... If you were previously an administrator and would like to again join the new team please send us a PM with information about yourself and how you think you'd be able to assist us in building the community...

The name change - Hoopstalk.net to basketballforums.com
Many of you guys couldn't get past the fact that the site has changed names from hoopstalk.net to basketballforums.com... I don't see how you guys don't see this to be a change for the better but I guess with every large group it's really not possible to please everyone and so we'll have to settle for the majority... Since the name change, the new member signups have increased around 20% or so just from the folks that type in basketballforums.com without going through search engines... We should also start appearing higher in search engines because of this name change so I hope you can all see that this was a decision to help grow the community. I certainly understand that their are some "old timers" out their that might not be happy with the change but we ask that you just try and let it go so we can put the focus back on basketball talk...

The Ads:
We've removed almost all occurances of the ads from the site and especially those that were intrusive... Hopefully you guys will enjoy ad free browsing for a long time to come... :-)

Ideas & suggestions:
Please PM me with any ideas that you guys have as to how we can build this sites member base and become the "Next generation in basketball talk" :-)
