Default Shoul another dark mark lead to a lifetime ban?

The Pacer's Stephen Jackson will head to trial on Feb 12 for charges involving a shooting incident outside a strip club. Jackson is already on probation for the infamous brawl involving fans in a game against the Piston two years back. If he's convicted on any charges, should the NBA pose a lifetime ban?

With the bad boy image that the NBA carries I don't think that they'll even think about making such a rule.

you think it would be wise to let a guy keep playing after felony convictions while on probation. I don't think they want their image that "bad boy"

Since he's already on probation, if he's convicted on any charges, wouldn't he be going to jail?

there's a very good chance that he would see some jail time, but it probably wouldn't be for too long

Yeah it'll probably be a slap on the wrist, but that's bullshit, I think they should make an example of him

Well, if it's for a long time, then that will suck for the Warriors. They just signed him...

that's the risk you take when you sign an unpredictable player, I'm sure they considered something might happen before there were contract talks

Well, he seems to be playing well so far, then again they've barely played. But he looks like a good fit. Lets hope his off court behavior stays good.

Well, if he's found guilty, it may not matter what the NBA does; he may be in jail! If he gets yet more probation (not likely), I don't know. What would happen in the real world to your job? But then, they aren't in the "real world" are they?
