I lived in Atlanta in 1986, and worked at a trendy restaurant as a waitress. On Tuesday night, after home games, the Hawks often came to the restaurant to eat.
I waited on Dominic Wilkins many times. He was a nice guy, and a good tipper. One time he even forgot to leave me a tip, and returned an hour later to pay me! One night, the coach left an official score sheet laying on a table. It was a computer print-out with all the baskets, who shot them; fouls, etc. I still have that paper. They played a team with a young Charles Barkely on it. It's funny how kids today don't even know about Dominic Wilkins or Spudd Webb. |

I thought they would, too. But last winter I was talking to a 12 year old boy who says he's into basketball, and certainly does play well for a kid his age, (although he looks like he's 16,) and he said he'd never heard of them. |

The amount of air Spudd had to clear just to dunk still amazes me to this day.

I did!!! I was rooting for Webb since he's as tall as me and Dominique has won that before. But watching him elevate was really awesome.

Michael Jordan was Red Bull's first human tester while they were making it a sports drink. They literally did give him wings for the dunk contest. In honor of his servitude they proceded to name their drink Red Bull after his team The Chicago Bulls.
