DraftExpress.com - Duke senior J.J. Redick failed a physical at the NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando and will be out for an extended period with a back problem that may require surgery, according to a source with close NBA contacts.

They said he was going to resume workouts on Thursday, so apparently it's not that big of a deal.

It appears that all the concern about J.J. Redick's back injury was overblown. Redick's agent, Arn Tellem, told me that Redick's back was rested and feeling well enough that he'd resume working out for teams.

What happened to the wild Internet report that Redick needed back surgery?

"That was totally false," Tellem said. "He just needed rest. His back will be fully healed in three weeks, but it's feeling good enough to give him the green light to work out again."
