Default Go Little Aussie.

Ya'll know about Andrew Bogut and a few might even know of Nathan Jawai (A rookie for the raptors next season), but there's another talented young Aussie in the States as I write this.

Patty Mills.
If you havn't heard of him (Meaning you didn't watch the olympics), google him now.
He's currently in his sophomore year at St. Maryland's.

Any thoughts on him?

G'day fello aussie!!

I remember watching him play against a mate of mine at a local basketball tourny man he was on fire think he hit 40 points that game.

Pat Mills is the future of aussie basketball i put him higher then Bogut and rekon he is poised for better things....it was awesome watching him rip it up in china and cant wait to see him in the NBA.

That's true, this kid will put Aussie B-Ball on the map.
He proved he can play up against the best when he dropped 20 on Team USA.

Hopefully open the way for more Aussie ballers too. (Joe Ingles, Brad Newley, and David Barlow could probably all make it at NBA-level).

Wink

yer they are all exciting players but i think if they are going to make it to the NBA they need to try soon.

Man i dont know if you know this but barlow, in his off season, plays for the VBL tigers team with some of the other guys from the squad like Greer (not a tigers fan cant remember the other guys) and thats just crap...how about trying to go over to europe or sumtin. he didnt do it this time around because he was over in china but the games he player he was averaging like 32 points. there is no challenge for him there.

they all need to try push themselves otherwise they arnt going anywhere.

oh by the way did you here about what chris paul said to ingles in the US game.

"I'm worth more then your whole family" can anyone say AssHOLE!!

i was a bit disapointed with that coz he is one of my fav players. but i guess when ingles dropped that three in his face you cant help but get a little aggitated.

Wow, the USA Players are a bit on-themselves in international comps but I had no idea CP3 said something like that. What a prick. <_<

Oh,
I just found out that Brad Newley was actually picked by Houston in this years draft (54th). He hasn't been signed yet though, but hopefully they'll get him there soon. (I mean, check these stats he pulled after the groups stage: 13.2 ppg, shooting at 72% from the field and 53.3% from 3pt range) He played a substantial amount of minutes to.

As for Ingles...
At 21 years old, he was obviously brought along to the Olympics primarily for experience, but in the final game against USA, he played the entire fourth quater and picked up these stats:
11 points on 100% shooting from the field, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.

I think 9 of those points were 3's too...
Any NBA club would do well to pick him up.

I remember marking Mills at the olympics, never expected a performance like that from anyone vs. the American team.

Hopefully he wont disappear into obscurity
