Wow...
Just have to look at that 2008-09 line-up and think that is going to be a very dominant team in a few years. Roy, Aldridge, Oden and now Bayless. This team has a heap of potential. The obvious lack of experience is a problem but as long as they can keep this four together the blazers are going to be looking at some serious playoff action for years to come. Also Outlaw averaging 13 points a game off the bench last season was an awesome effort and its players like him with that little extra experience that need to help lift the team. Any thoughts??? Do you agree?? |

I have to agree with you there.
At the best, they're a contendor this year. At the least, an exiting young team that opponents should be wary of. Either way, Trailblazers will be a threat in the next couple of years. |

Probably Webster to start off with.
Rudy fits more at the SG spot, but he and Bayless will probably share time off the bench. Atleast at the start of the season. Despite the extra talent in the gaurds, I hope Sergio Rodriguez gets more time. He's gone from one of the best European prospects to just another player because of his limited game time. It's dissapointing. EDIT: There's also Nicholas Batum at Small Forward, whose an exciting prospect out of France. It'll be interesting if he can cross over well into the NBA. Considering Batum started for them in their preseason match today, I don't think he's been waived. ^_^ Bayless can play either position. He's widely acclaimed as a SG, but he's versatile. And yeah, Portland has alot of depth. |

In a couple of years, alot of these stars will be in demand, and will get offered bigger contracts from rival clubs... As a side-note, can't wait for Oden to play again! Like, dear god, another 2 weeks was it? xD I just wanna see the big man! Also, in the first 2-3 games of the season, Rudy Fernandez has been the stand-out rookie imho. Let's hope he keeps it up. |
