[color=#000066] I agree completely joey d is wasting too much time tryin to sign ben and the nappy fro kid is just take up the pistons time. I would have offer ben 1 or 2 contracts and then start lookin for other guys. Instead he is wasting the whole free agency period on ben.

well ben is gone and we spent most of our cap on nazr (which to me seems stupid) instead of getting nazr maybe try to get a young person who will improve through the years than having another old guy who will be talked about 2 years from now about retiring.

Very poor managing. They draft Darko at #2 in what is turning out to be one of the best drafts ever, they let him rot on the bench, he breaks his hand making a token apperance in game 5 of the 2004 Finals, costing him summer leagues, they trade him away, they let Wallace leave for nothing in return, and now this. They still have a good core, but this is bad managing.

Not exactly did they waste all of there cap on nazr. What hasn't really got out is that the pistons signed lindsey to two years. After those two years lindsey is expected to get a job in the front office (according to the Detroit News).

I think they're going to regret trading Darko for nothing more then letting Ben come to Chicago. I still have faith in his talents and you're going to see how good he really is next season in Orlando.

I agree. If someone would give the guy a chance, I think he could become a superstar.

The Pistons will get a solid filler next year with the Magic pick and all the Darko talk will go away.

Giving Nazr the money wasn't stupid. They HAD to have a replacement for Ben...and they got one at half the price and for an additional year.

I agree, I dont know why everyone thinks Nazr is so bad I actually think he's a nice pickup. He was all that was out there and i'm pretty happy with the pickup. I just wish we can get cheap swingmen like a Ronald Dupree or hopefully Flip Murray for what we got and then resign Tony Delk. I still aint got faith in Acker so I wouldn't be shocked or disappointed if he was let go and we let Will spend a year in D league and have Delk and Hunter running the backup point.

Jerry Riensdorf is probably a bigger cheapskate than the Pistons owner. He underpaid Scottie Pippen the entire time, lowballed Horace Grant, which led to his departure, and he ordered the breakup in 1998, b/c he didn't want to pay the players due for contracts (Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Longely, Kerr, Buchler, etc.) Only Harper, Kukoc, and Wennington stayed b/c they were under contact past 1998. Riensdorf is the biggest cheapskate.
