Default Jason Kidd Back To Mavs, But Is It Enough?

Jason Kidd wanted to remove himself from another NBA scene, this time from the New Jersey Nets. The New Jersey Nets should be glad and welcome any takers that may wish for an aging, overpriced, self-indulgent point guard that has limited offensive abilities.

Great passer, yes. Floor leader, yes. Lead you to the Finals—not anymore, unless he is paired with a superstar somewhere such as LeBron James or maybe a Kobe Bryant.

However, to get a Jason Kidd, prepare to gut a decent part of your team in the process, thereby placing you in the same position you were before, only with different pieces in place.

The current look of the New Jersey Nets is not fit for any meaningful run. Vince Carter, he too overpriced and overhyped these days, is not the player he once was either, refusing to take the ball to the hole, and therefore opening up his game and the game of those around him.

A change is needed in New Jersey. Kidd and Carter are good salesmen that will never close a meaningful deal together, nor have they in younger days either apart of together.

Jason Kidd did lead the Nets to two NBA Finals appearances, but the East during that time was awful, and the rules say someone has to win the East.

The Eastern Conference has grown in stature over the past year, with the Boston Celtics and the always dependable Detroit Pistons clogging the middle. Memo to New Jersey Nets brass—you got what you could, when you could. Good job, start over, and let’s see if Kidd is the leader in Dallas that he thinks he is.

Default

Jason Kidd is not worth devin harris at this point of his career period. Since dallas is so dumb they should also try to sign gary payton because he used to be a glove. All i know is in this league the new pg's are quicker, faster, and smoother than the old schoolers and jason kidd doesn't fit.
