A high-level source 'swears' LeBron James will opt out of his contract following the 2011-2012 season in order to become a member of the Knicks.
This according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post, in an article about a feud between Isiah Thomas and Greg Anthony. 2010-2011 is the final season of LeBron James? four-year extension. Many analysts and columnists have conjectured that signings by Thomas of players such as Vin Baker and the selections of Rendaldo Balkman and Mardy Collins, all clients of James' agent at the time, are attempts to win favor with the said agent. Both Anthony and Vecsey have speculated on this possibility. |

Lebron is straight Ohio. He was born and raised there and loves it; that alone is enough to make him stay with the Cavs. BUT, if the Cavs don't at least make it to a final in his next 4 seasons with them, I think he may opt out. He realizes that he's just too talented to stay with a team that can't make it. I personally think they will at least make the finals in these 4 years, and theyve got a good shot this year. Also, how could he ever leave his boy Damon Jones?!

I think Lebron stays with cleveland as lnog as AI stayed with Philly or KG in Minny or at least as long as Paul stayed with Boston. That might be the soonest he gets traded.
But as far as big names not coming back. I can see Carmelo Anthony opting out and leaving Denver. Not so much Lebron tho. |

Lebron isn't going anywhere. He is the face of Cleveland. The city's newest icon. Cleveland won't be that dumb.
