Chicago Tribune - Kirk Hinrich and the Bulls have just over two more weeks to get a deal accomplished otherwise face restricted free agency next summer.
"I got the impression that it's going to get done," Hinrich said. "But I'm not counting on it, so if it doesn't, I'm not disappointed and thrown into shock. I'm going to plan on playing another year with the deal I have. If it happens, great, because I want to stay here. If not, I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing." "Whether we get a deal done with Kirk or not before the 31st in no way reflects how much we respect him as a person and player and believe in his value to the Bulls organization," Paxson said. "When talking about an extension, it is important it be a deal that is right for both the player and the organization. . . . If we can't then it only means that we deal with it again next summer." |

Hinrich is a valueble asset on that team. Same with Nocioni, Gordon and Deng. It'll be a big mistake if he goes to another team.
