Press Release - The Indiana Pacers announced Thursday that head coach Rick Carlisle has signed a multi-year contract extension. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not released.
In addition, Carlisle has been given the title of Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
Carlisle will be entering his fourth season as Pacers? coach. In three seasons, he has compiled a 146-100 record with three trips to the playoffs that included the Pacers reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in 2004. In the 2003-04 season, the Pacers were 61-21, a franchise record for victories and winning percentage (.744).
